Applied Research Areas The VMASC research effort is focused on both pure and applied research. Applied research areas are organized into research clusters in the following areas: Military & Homeland Security Medical & Health Care Transportation Social Science Virtual Environments Game-Based Learning Business Process & Supply Chain Pure research areas are aligned with the individual research faculty and fall generally along the lines of human and social behavior representation, simulation interoperability, mathematical modeling, and simulation-based engineering methods.
