Gaming Camp 2012
3D Game Asset Creation | July 7 - 11
This camp focuses on the design and creation of digital assets for games, such as 3D characters and props. The software used in this camp includes Autodesk Mesh Mixer, Autodesk Maya and Unity3D. Autodesk Mesh Mixer is a powerful but yet easy-to-use 3D modeling tool, while Autodesk Maya is the industry standard for creating 3D models, animations, and special effects used in movies and games.
Daily activities consist of interactive lectures given by ODU faculty, and hands-on game asset creation exercises.
Participants may choose to have a 3D print of either their head, or their 3D character at the end of the camp week to take home as a souvenir.
Lunch will be provided. If dietary restrictions apply, campers may provide their own lunch.
The preferred age group is 12 – 16.
Registration is limited to 12 participants for each week so please act quickly.
Cost is $300 per camper.
