VMASC currently has one open position: Post-Doctoral Research Associate The position is aimed to improve the underlying data analysis capabilities of the group's toolset. Specifically, the capability to analyze large data sets (big data) in order to improve insight and prediction of human behavior is desired. The position requires a PhD where large data set analysis is used such as computer science, experimental physics, or genetics. candidates should show a record of writing and publishing of papers in journals and conferences. Prospective candidates need to have strong inter-personal skills as work is conducted within a group. Programming skills (C++, java) are a must. Job Responsibilities: Supervise students as required. Attend conferences in order to maintain technical expertise. Apply for grants and submit proposals in support of Principal Investigators. Write technical reports. Support the maintenance and management of the technical infrastructure as dictated by the Chief Scientist. Conduct technology demonstrations in support ofVMASC research efforts.
